Have You Become Complacent? Don’t Miss the Three Warning Signs.

Complacency is a sign that something is about to go terribly wrong. I’ve learned this lesson the hard way…what about you?

Complacency is dangerous because it brings us to a stand-still. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is rushing by!

So ask yourself…have you become complacent? Are you engaged in your daily life…or are you just going through the motions? Are you settling for the status quo instead of THRIVING? Consider these three questions:

Are you happy doing the work you’re doing, for the clients you’re doing it for? Do you enjoy the legal work you’re doing? Do you enjoy and respect the clients you work for? If so…good for you. If not…sooner or later you are going to burn out. Don’t let complacency make you miserable. Make the changes you need to so that your work energizes you…not sucks the life out of you.

Are you happy with the money that you’re making? Are you making enough money to support your family’s lifestyle and feel secure? Or are you settling for less…not because you HAVE to settle for less, but because you’re not willing to challenge the status quo and figure out how to make the money you really want to make?

Is your life in harmony…or is it unraveling? Do you enjoy your day-to-day life…honestly? Or are you always looking ahead to the weekend and to your next vacation? Seth Godin says “instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you should set up a life you don’t need to escape from.” COMPLACENCY will keep you from creating this type of life. Don’t settle for so-so…because you can thrive.

Complacency will hold you back from accomplishing your goals and reaching your potential. Complacency puts you and your practice in a dangerous place. Don’t get complacent… keep moving forwards! If you’d like to discuss this process is more detail, I am currently offering a complimentary coaching session and I would LOVE to hear from you!
